Citizenship awards

Please note:  The scheme is currently closed for applications and will re-open in September 2012.

Here is your chance to reward local heroes aged between 11 and 18 years.

Do you know a young person living in South Oxfordshire District Council area that has shown outstanding community or voluntary service and who deserves some recognition?  This is your chance to nominate them for a South Oxfordshire Citizenship Award.

The person you think deserves some recognition must:

• be aged between 11 and 18 (at the closing date)
• live within South Oxfordshire District Council's area
• be nominated by an individual or organisation (but not a relative or close friend)
• be able to send us an independent reference to support the application
• be able to demonstrate the value to the community or individual that they have supported the 12 months prior to the closing date
• be able to send a relevant photograph of the nominee.

Awards will not be given towards specific award schemes such as the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.
