Work experience

We support the work experience programmes and offer unpaid work experience placements to young people who are currently being educated in the district.

Should you wish to apply for a period of work experience, please write to or email the human resources team, stating which subjects you are undertaking at school, your preferred team, any career aspirations you may have, hobbies and interests and the dates of the placement.

Whilst we will endeavour to match your placement to your subjects/career aspirations this may not always be possible due to volume of applications and/or resources available.  All students who are successful in their application will have attended an informal interview.
