Young People's Xchange

The Young People's Xchange is a group of young people aged 11-19 years who have volunteered to represent their school and young people in South Oxfordshire.  They meet regularly with councillors to discuss relevant issues and improve services for young people in South Oxfordshire.

Members of the Young People's Xchange:

  • represent their schools and young people in South Oxfordshire
  • find out the views of young people and feedback to councillors
  • be the eyes and ears for the council on young people's issues
  • participate in council consultations and consultations with partner organisations
  • help to plan Networking days and other events for young people
  • work on projects to promote a positive image of young people.

The Young People's Xchange started in June 2009.   There are at least 4 meetins a year which usually take place at the council offices between 4.30 pm and 7 pm.

The Young People's Xchange is open to any young person living or going to school in South Oxfordshire District Council .
