Prevent homelessness

If you still need help after this then contact the housing service for advice.

We will do our best to keep you in your current home.  If we can't, we will try to help you find privately rented accommodation to meet your needs.  As a last resort, you may be temporarily put into nightly paid accommodation, or supported lodgings if you are a vulnerable young person.  This accommodation is costly.  You will be expected to pay with the help of housing benefit, if applicable.

Join the housing register

It's important that you join the housing register as soon as you think you might become homeless.  We will review your situation and decide what priority band you belong in.  For more information on the housing register and priority banding visit join the housing register.
